Moving from Dead or Alive 6 to Last Round is not a free platform upgrade—it is a separate purchase that bundles DLC fighters, costumes, and new features like Photo Mode. Koei Tecmo supports one-way save and DLC transfer from the original game, but not everything carries over and timing matters. This guide explains purchase expectations, transfer prerequisites, and what you gain versus what you must repurchase before committing to Last Round in 2026.

Not a Free Upgrade

Last Round is a standalone product on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. Original DOA6 owners on PS4, Xbox One, or delisted PC builds cannot unlock Last Round through a patch or entitlement transfer. You must purchase Last Round separately through each platform's digital store. Last Round is digital only—no physical edition is available.

For players who never owned original DOA6, Last Round is the correct entry point. It includes five DLC characters—Nyotengu, Phase 4, Momiji, Rachel, and Tamaki—and five bundled costumes in the standard edition. Separate Purchase Considerations

Evaluate whether bundled content justifies the purchase against your existing DOA6 library. If you already own most DLC fighters and costumes, Last Round primarily adds Photo Mode, platform optimizations, and convenience bundling. If you are a new or returning player, the standard edition delivers substantially more value than piecing together original DOA6 DLC—especially after the Steam delisting stranded PC players without upgrade paths.

Save Data Transfer

Critical: Once you create Last Round save data, you cannot transfer from vanilla DOA6 without deleting Last Round progress first. Plan your transfer before playing Last Round casually.

1. Ensure your DOA6 save exists on the same platform account.
2. PlayStation 4: Update DOA6 to version 1.23 before launching Last Round.
3. Xbox: Download all owned DOA6 DLC to your console before transfer.
4. Steam: Open Last Round logged into the same Steam account as DOA6.
5. Launch Last Round—transfer prompts appear automatically when eligible data is detected.

Multiplayer After Upgrade

Last Round does not support crossplay between PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Each platform maintains a separate player pool. Original DOA6 and Last Round players cannot play together even on the same console family.
